Alie the friendly alien

I was on my bed, unable to sleep as I heard the clock ticks. It’s so far away from me, but it feels like it was just beside memory maybe on the same bed with me. I sighed. What should I do to fall asleep? Looks like this insomnia is getting worst. Everything will be fine, they say. But day by day, it’s getting even worst got up from the bed and my eyes caught the sight of sleeping pills on the desk want to sleep without consuming any of that poisonous drug grabbed my jacket as I went outside. Maybe fresh midnight air will help me.

It’s so quiet in the neighborhood, most people were probably on the dream land, enjoying their warm blanket and comfy bed, while I was walking here alone..I am a dead meat if mom and dad knows about this.I wandered around cluelessly,inspecting the empty road ahead me.I feel like it’s calling me to explore more.It’s the normal route that I take everyday,since I was a child,but tonight it seems different…it feels different…the sensation is different.

I stretched my body as I let my feet lead me to an unknown place.I know the risk,and I’m more than willing to take it. I gazed upon the star and smiled. The night sky seems brighter tonight, and those stars are incredible. It looks like a gorgeous painting,a natural painting. That’s when I heard a sound behind me. It sounds like someone try to talk with me. But I couldn’t understand it at all. Alien? No! Of all the other things on this planet, why do you to think about alien? I turned around and I couldn’t believe what I just saw. I tried rubbing my eyes to make sure I’m not hallucinating, but when I opened my eyes, it’s still there. I pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming. It hurt a lot. Wait, I didn’t eat sleeping pills today, how can I be dreaming?

Then, this is all real. What is this? Some kind of a Sci-Fi movie. Am I one of the cast? Or are they making a movie about alien? If that’s the truth, why didn’t anyone stopped me? If this is a movie, they will be mad if a stranger step inside the scene. But no one did that, I didn’t found anyone here except me and this,what should I called it? Creature? Okay,first thing first,I need to calm down. Maybe he can speak English. Like in the movie. Wait, what should I call it? Sir? Madam? Miss? Ah, damn. I can keep calm like this. I mean you can only watch this on movie. It looks like a scene in a movie now. Except that it didn’t approach me at all. It didn’t seem to hurt me at all. Maybe I’m the one who should approach it first. Okay here we go. I walked towards the creature and noticed how afraid he is with me.

“Hey, it’s okay. I won’t hurt you.”

I noticed how tall the creature is. Probabyly around 3 feet tall. He reversed his way as I made my move towards him. Maybe he is scared. I stopped walking and raise both of my hands to show that I mean no harm to him.

“Don’t worry, I have no weapon. I have no…superpower either, you know like those Avengers or any other superhero. You’re safe.”

Yeah, you are safe. But I’m afraid,I am the one in danger here. It tilted his head, inspecting me from it’s position. Maybe trying to figure out if I can be trusted or not. I guess, it experienced a lot of things while being on Earth. Making it hard to believe any single human. I froze as it started making his way towards me. I feels like I wanna run now, but my feet won’t move. Like it was glued on the floor. Speaking of glue, I don’t wanna end up like the victim in the movie Saw movie where Jigsaw Killer glued his back on the car seat. That looks really hurt. Why am I thinking about that now, I should be concerned about the creature that was already in front of me. Damn, it looks scarier that he is now right in front of me. It crouch in front of me as it tilted it’s head and his hand poke my head.

“Human.”-it say with a robotic like voice.

“Yes, I…am…human.”

Damn, what’s wrong with my voice. It sound robotic, just like him. I can’t breah,like there is no oxygen around for me to breath in. It showed me it’s fist, and looks like it’s holding something. He opened his fist slowly, revealing a strange flower on it’s palm. With a trembling hand, I took it and try inspecting the flower. It look  familiar to me. Maybe it’s in my books. I look at the creature in front of me. He looks like he need my help, maybe I can help this creature.

“You wait here, I need my books.”

I ran to my home, as I entered the house slowly. My parents are still sleeping and they didn’t realized that I went outside, that’s good. I slowly made my way to my room and immediately took an encyclopaedia about flowers that I buy a few days ago. Maybe this will help. I was ready to go outside when I heard something outside my window. I peeked from through the curtain and saw the creature looking at me, probably it is waiting for me. I sighed as I slide the door and waved my hand. I noticed that reach out his hand, maybe getting ready to catch me, but I was wrong. It’s hand are long enough to take me through the window.

“I didn’t lie to you. I just wanna take this book.”

It nodded it’s head as it putted me down on the ground.I sat on the ground as I opened the book.Wait,I need to give it a name.Let me think,what should I call it?En?Alie?

“Alie.”

It turned his face towards me and tilted it’s head again.

“Your name is Alie.”

“Alie.”-it said,mimicking my voice.

“Yes,your name is Alie.”

It nodded it’s head while saying it’s new name over and over again.Seems like Alie is happy with it’s name.

“Alie,give me the flower you showed before.”

Alie handed the flower over to me gently while tilting it’s head.I don’t know why,i have the feelings that Alie is a female.I never study alien’s anatomy before but my instinct tell that Alie is female.I was busy searching information about the flower when I felt a strong wind from my right.I was almost blew away by it,just like a storm.I turned my face to Alie,and saw she was sitting beside me.That was Alie?Sitting?God,I thought it was a storm.

“Oh,this is it.”

“Alie,I found it.”

“It’s name is SIlphium.It can be found on North African.”

That’s when I noticed the word extinct on the description.This isn’t good.

“Alie.”

“Why do you need the flower?”

I noticed that she tried her best to explain it but I know she can’t.

“I’m sorry Alie.This flower is extinct.”

She tilted her head again.Looking at me with her confused face.

“This flower…no more on Earth.”

I tried showing her with body signal hoping she will understand.She nodded her head,but I know she’s disappointed with the fact.

“Come.”

Come where?She leads me to a space ship.I was afraid but at the same time I feel excited for this new adventure.I hope Alie won’t kill me.Maybe she wants to take me to her planet.Oh god,please save me.

Indeed it is,she started the engine and now,we’re on the way to her planet.Oh god,I’m so nervous.I noticed that Alie is pointing her finger to a bed.

“Is it for me?”

She nodded her head as I made my way towards the bed before sitting on the bed.I lay down on despite knowing the fact that I am an incomniac.It’s really hard for me to sleep.Oh,well…Maybe I’ll try to rewind everything that that happened today.

I was still busy thinking about my long journey when Alie tapped my shoulder.Maybe we’re here,at her planet.I stand up and immediately strectched my body.I noticed that Alie handed an oxygen mask to me.Yeah,she should be.How can I breathe normally on her planet.But I was really shocked when I saw her planet.It was covered with heavy black smoke.I looked at Alie and heard that she’s coughing.What happened here?Heavy smoke,polluted air,dirty river and it is super hot here.Wait,the structure is almost the same with Earth.The difference is the landscape.It’s not covered in tress and environment beauty,it’s just covered with…trash.

“Alie.What happened here?”

She looked at me and shake her head.She pointed her long hand to another alien in front of her.But it’s bigger,and looks…how should I say this…older?Maybe.

“Welcome to our planet child.”-it said.

Oh,this one can speak English.Unbelievable.

“By seeing you here,I assume that the mission I entrusted her isn’t succesfull.”-it says again.

Her?Did it just say her?Well,my instinct are true.She really is a female.I looked around me,and that’s when I noticed old buildings.And for me,it looks more like a factory to me.This looks just like Earth.But what happened here?

“Alie here didn’t fail her mission,it’s just that the flower that you’re looking for is extinct.It can’t be found on Earth anymore.”

It turned around to face me and I can hear her sigh.

“Child,our planet is just like yours.It is once filled with wonders,with beauty,with amazement.But it turned out to be like this cause of our own selfishness.We cut trees away,build countless of factories and buildings.We polluted our own planet.”-it explained.

This reminded me of Earth,it’s not as critical as theirs,but if the pollution won’t stop,maybe Earth will face the same fate like this.Polluted.

“So,why do you need the flowers for?”

“We found a few flower seed,and that bloomed flowers,but we didn’t know how to plant it.”-it said and sighed again.

I feel the urge to help them,Even if I know that my effort won’t be enough to give this planet it’s natural beauty,but I will try my best to help them.

“I will help you.I will teach you to plant it.”

“Thank you so much child.”-it said with teary eyes.

“Okay,we’ll start now.”

I looked around and saw an empty land,looks like it was used for farming before.That will be perfect.But the problem now is the water.I need fresh water.

“Alie,can you help.”

“You know what bottle is?”

Alie nodded her head as she looked at me.

“I need you to collect 7 bottles for me.and some huge rock.Okay?”

Alie nodded her head and went her way.

“Umm..

“My name is Umu.”-it said.

“Yeah,Umu.Do you an activated carbon?”

“Yes,I do know that child.”-Umu replied.

“I need it.We can’t use waters from the rivers,we need clean waters for farming.”

“I understand child.”-Umu says before it turned around,instructing the other alien.Maybe to take activated carbon for me.

I need to filter these waters before I can use it.I can do this.But now,I’m really afraid.Afraid that the same thing will happened on earth.Maybe we human need to do something before the same thing happened to us.

I don’t know how long I’ve been here,but I know it’s been a while.Maybe it’s already day on Earth and mom and dad is panicking right now.Cause they couldn’t find me at my room.Maybe mom will think I’m partying all night,like she did before.But I never do that.Speaking of this planet,so far I have filtered the water using a small device that I created myself,and cleaned the used field.I even planted a few flowers on it.This seems fun than I thought.Maybe gardening isn’t as bad as I think.

Alie and Umu was busy looking at the field,maybe admiring the hope of their planet.I was wondering when I can go home.That’s when I noticed that the two was walking towards me now.

“Thank you my child.”-Umu said as he bow.

I bowed back to show my respect to both of them.

“I think it’s time for you to go home now.”-Umu said and nodded his head.-“Remember this,don’t let Earth be like our planet.”

I nodded my head.I know what I wanna do when I get back to Earth.I will make my own garden.It’s okay if it’s not big.Just a small one is enough.If we didn’t make a move to save environment,who will.And if Earth become like Alie’s planet,what will happened to us.It’s our responsibility.OUR responsibility.
